SINTEF is an independent, non-commercial organisation. The profits of our contract research projects are invested in new research, scientific equipment and competence development.
SINTEF Materials and Chemistry is a contract research division offering high competence within materials technology, applied chemistry and applied biology. The research division performs research and development, advanced consultancy and laboratory services. We work closely with industry in development of advanced materials, products, processes and new tools, and seek out new, environmentally friendly processing methods that will increase productivity and raise quality standards

Role in the Project

In the project SINTEF will take part both in JRA and CSA activities. In the Joint Research Activities, the main contributions of SINTEF will be to supply reference and substrate wafers.
Previous experience: SINTEF Materials and Chemistry have a crystallisation lab that is unique among European research facilities. This will allow the custom-growth of crystals to the correct specifications necessary in this project. An industrial scale wafer saw is also available to the project.
