Role in the Project
In the project SINTEF will take part both in JRA and CSA activities. In the Joint Research Activities, the main contributions of SINTEF will be to supply reference and substrate wafers.
Previous experience: SINTEF Materials and Chemistry have a crystallisation lab that is unique among European research facilities. This will allow the custom-growth of crystals to the correct specifications necessary in this project. An industrial scale wafer saw is also available to the project.
Key people involved

Halvor Dalaker, Research Scientist. At SINTEF since 2009, responsible for slurry wafering activities since 2010. Experience in crystal growing and wafer sawing.

Eivind Øvrelid, Research Manager for the Department for Solar Cell Silicon. Experience from industry and R&D in Multi- and monocrystalline ingot growth.

Shawn Wilson, MsC. At SINTEF since 2008, and in charge of wafering experiments since 2010.
