Abstract: The electron beam induced current (EBIC) and time resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) techniques are discussed as tools for determination of minority carrier metrics (decay kinetics, diffusion length) in polycrystalline thin film absorbers. Effects of injection levels, energies and sample state are discussed and general considerations for artefact reduction are presented.
